Each street within the Great Pond community is designed as a shared public space. Great streets act as a kind of living room for a community where people stroll, meet one another, and visit.

Each street is designed to foster pedestrian activity, slow traffic speeds, and allow for bicycles, parking, and connectivity to enhance mobility and encourage different modes of travel.

Many streets will be designed as “green streets” providing a water quality function with integrated infiltration systems directing stormwater into natural bioswales or treatment areas. These areas clean the rainwater runoffs using natural plants and soil.
